Four things worth knowing
Your memories belong to you.
You keep ownership of every photo, note, and recording you make. Using the app never signs your family’s story over to us.
Use it however helps.
Every day, once a month, or in bursts when life allows. We only ask that you use the app lawfully and for the family it was built for.
Back up what you love.
The app is local-first today, so keep your device backups current. If we ever add cloud sync, we will ask before uploading anything.
If anything changes, we will say so.
When these terms are updated we will explain what changed in plain language, not bury it in a revision date.
Plain answers, no fine print tricks.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Morr Media LLC ("we", "us") covering the Before You Forget iOS app and the beforeyouforget.ai website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. You must be 18 or older to use the app.
2. Your memories are yours
Every photo, recording, and note you put into the app is, and always stays, your property. We take no license to your content beyond what is technically required to show it to you on your own device. See the Privacy Policy for where it lives (on your phone) and where it does not (our servers, because we have none for it).
3. Free and Premium
Capturing memories for one child is free, in every format and without limits. Free is a permanent state, not a lapsed one. A Premium membership adds protection and scale: backup to your own iCloud, more than one child, archive export, and tags and collections.
Memberships are auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through Apple: $39.99 per year or $4.99 per month, each with a 7-day free trial for new members. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Prices may change for future periods; Apple notifies you before any change applies.
4. Refunds
Because purchases go through Apple, refunds do too: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process refunds directly.
5. Your responsibilities
Keep your device and any account credentials secure. Use the Service lawfully and only for its purpose: a private family memory journal.
Unless you turn on iCloud backup, your memories exist in one place: your phone. Back up your device; the export feature exists so you are never locked in, but your backups are the safety net.
6. What we own
The app, site, design, prompts, and the Before You Forget name are ours or our licensors’. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices under Apple’s standard EULA terms. Do not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service.
7. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data on a device we do not control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits rights that consumer law grants you and does not let us waive.
8. Ending things
You can stop using the Service anytime; deleting the app deletes your local data, and we will delete your account on request. We may suspend or end access for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 2, 6, and 7 survive.
9. Changes and governing law
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change applies; continued use is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
